PNG Public Enterprises Minister Arthur Somare Australia is only providing technical assistance to help PNG set up sovereign wealth funds (SWF), Public Enterprises Minister Arthur Somare said. Mr Somare said PNG was not asking Australia to help manage the large inflow of revenues from the LNG project into these funds.

ANZ launches improved internet banking |

The Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) has launched a range of improved internet banking features in Fiji which it says is intended to provide convenient and secure internet banking for its customers. ANZ’s head of retail banking in Fiji, Haroon Ali said at the launching that the new features will provide customers with greater security and functionality including moving money between accounts more easily and setting up regular bill payments.

ANZ launches financial literacy program in the Pacific |

ANZ today launched a new financial literacy program in Fiji, for Pacific staff and their communities to improve their financial skills, knowledge and confidence. Money Minded Pacific will be introduced to ANZ staff in Fiji from today and progressively introduced in 10 other Pacific countries where ANZ operates by September 2010.
