Economic Situation and Outlook for Samoa Webinar

Samoa is one of New Zealand’s closest and most significant partners in the Pacific region.

The government of Samoa has announced that the country will reopen its borders to non-Samoan nationals from 1 August 2022. Despite the severe challenges of COVID-19 and supply chain disruptions, economic growth is expected to return in 2022 on the back of healthy vaccination rates, reopened borders and renewed focus on infrastructure projects, yet supply chain disruptions and risks will likely persist for some time to come.

We are pleased to welcome Bernie Poort, ANZ’s Country Head for Samoa, and Gareth Coleman, ANZ’s Head of Trade and Supply Chain for New Zealand and Pacific, for a discussion on the economic situation and outlook for Samoa as well as the ongoing trade and supply chain issues facing Samoa, New Zealand and broader South Pacific region.

This briefing will be of interest to New Zealand, Australian and Pacific businesses operating in, or interested in, the Samoa market.
