Wijnand Udema -

Wijnand has over 22 years’ experience in the environmental consulting sector, spanning 27 countries across Europe, South East Asia, the Pacific and Australasia. Wijnand’s has a broad range of consulting experience, with specialist skills and experience in environmental impact assessment, due diligence, environmental safeguards, water security, risk assessment and environmental remediation. He has acted as subject matter Expert Witness for major infrastructure projects for the Environment Court, and has also acted as an Expert Witness for major litigation cases in the New Zealand and Fiji High Courts. In his role at GHD, he has responsibilities for client management, business development, and technical delivery – covering a broad range of bilateral and multilateral development agencies, governments and private sector. Wijnand is passionate about driving positive outcomes for the environment and communities across the Pacific – at time when the challenges are ever increasing.
