Samoa's tourism services exports poised for take off

Samoa’s successful vaccination program leaves it poised to reopen its international border.


Open borders mean tourism should start to recover in the second half of 2022, building momentum into 2023.


We expect GDP to grow by 5% this calendar year and strengthen to 13.2% in 2023 underwritten by net exports.


Globally, interest rates are rising, but in Samoa monetary policy will focus on domestic outcomes.
